Default new to onroad picked up serpent 720

Hey guys and gals I picked up a serpent 720 with a o.s. .12tz and it all came with a brand new nova rossi .12 ll5 car is great but I need a tank for it and can't find them anywhere I know it's an older car but the price was right and it came with 2 brand new motors for $300 bucks only thing it needs is a tank amd new rear camber link mount anyone know we're I can find a tank ? Almost at the point that I'm going to have to custom fabricate a 75cc tank from somewhere else to fit

I think you'll really struggle with spares for the 720 now. RC-Mushroom have a few bits and pieces but no tanks. If it had been a 733 or 747 then there are plenty of spares left out there as it shares a bit with the latest platform the 748.

I've seen several 747's for sale for less than $300 (there are a couple on the for sale forum here right now!). To be brutally honest I think your deal was fine for the engines but you should look for a cheap 733 or 747 roller to have much chance of running.

The deal was worth it just for the engines, pipes and other stuff you probably got. Chassis wise I'd cut my losses and pickup a used 747 roller - honestly that would be my best bet and most economical way forwards.

If you bodge a tank etc to fit the 720 it would be a shame for you to then break the car and have the same spares issue again.

Good luck. Personally I'd keep it as you wouldn't get anything for the 720 in non-running condition and get the 747 - you've got other stuff on that car that would be compatible such as the clutch and a few other things.
