What's the part numbers for the gold and silver springs. Also gold are for aluminum and silver for carbon?
Carbon shoes are just the standard and run the silver or black spring. Go softer with less traction and harder for more. Lets the car accelerate with out wheel spin. |
Clutch Bell and Flywheel Set Up
1 Attachment(s)
At my last race a few weekends back, ended up setting up 5 clutch bells, and one of the guys suggested that maybe I do a write up and post, so they can refer back to it if needed.
So See Attached The clutch and 2 speed is the same in the DM-1, X3 and IGT8 In talking with some of the IGT8 drivers, they think the IGT8 flywheel and clutch set up gives more snap out of the corners. I have not tried it yet but will. Set up is the same, just the flywheel and clutch shoes change. |
Anybody have 2 49t Spurs they can sell?

any feed back. I tried them and just thought they added weight to the car, and sprung weight is never good, but that is just my 2 cents. |

thks Q Also, I have tightened the 2 speed so that it does not shift into 2nd when practicing on a small 1/10 scale parking lot track. |
ok today is the first time I raced my Igt8. I experienced brake fade bad . I was looking at the brake pads I got with car, the rear disk is smaller and the full pad is not used. What is the best pad to use on the front and rear. I was looking at #89085 for the rears but not sure if its going to work. looking for some help.

If running dual brakes, you need the small rear disk to not hit the flywheel. Option brake pads from the Dm1, or the IGT8 pads are best.

The dual pads system from the IGT8 is as good as you can get for GT cars. We are the envy in the department for sure. One thing I will suggest is maybe adjusting the amount of front or rear brakes till you find the best setting. If you are over heating your brakes, my guess is you are using too much of either the front or rear and not enough of the other. Check to see if one of the disks is getting a color from the heat being created and this may help you figure out which one is overheating the system. Use the adjustment collars till you get the best balance for your driving style.
Hope this helps, DJ Apolaro |
If the rear brake is showing no use then my guess would be to adjust the rear stopper so when the brakes are applied it squeezes them the same. Also check to see if the rear pads are gapped the same as the fronts. Turn the car and radio on and bench test it.

My car stops excellent. Better then my serpent did.
