I`ve liked GQ Tires from the first time I used them. No broken rims, and hardly ever a chunk. The wear is phenomenal!I will continue to use them.

Yeah I kinda believe each tire has its own characteristics and benefits for each type of track surface.
Ive found the twister tire to be pretty good on a p-lot track which is also pretty much untreated. I notice the rim is a bit more flexy than others and I had two fronts bend on my first batch within2 qualifiers and no memberable wrecks. I do like how the twister tire seems to be two different compounds from front to rear. Seems more rubber like in the rear and foam like in the front. The jaco nitro shoe seems to be a more durable rim , had some chunking...that might have been prevented If I fixed the trouble spot. Im giving them another chance at my next race. |
All gas rubber is different rubber from front to rear.

The only bad thing about GQ tire is they are very hard & if you hit the wall or board they bend & they do not return to original shap, so your tire will not run true. I like softer rim, but thst's just me.

The jaco nitro shoes from rcmart are 7 a pair, and I believe with shipping they come to around 9 dollar a pair. Pretty much unbeatable in the states. But the thought is coming across my mind more and more, that usa rc owners should try to buy and support there local us and local area hobby shops. Cause thats what keeps this world going round...at least in our neck of the woods. Otherwise we wont have any local support and tracks to run at. As well we wont have local shops to check things out in to get further knowledge or quick parts. Hong Kong isnt the fastest source, which those shops all reside in. Its for this reason we dont care if they all go broke. If they did put an effort into supporting the track maybe we would buy stuff from them |
foam wheels
Which is a better wheel? spoke rim, dish rim or y frame rim?

I dont know if Kyosho or Mugen drivers will appreciate the yellow Serpent rim on the ATS though :sneaky: |
