NEW ROAR LEGAL NOVA GT MOTOR SPECS ARE HERE !!

http://www.novarossi.it/2012/index.p...1gt-tuned.html

So what are your thoughts on this motor so far...has anyone installed one yet ? I opted for the Nova Maxy Cinco BT with rear Ceramic bearings to do the dirty job .... Is this a redone P5XLT ?? Very Curious...would consider as a back up to my Cinco BT...

i got one the sat night of the pan am gt race in Homestead Broke it in sunday morning. I ran a semi-final and 1 hour final with it and it was flawless. no problems to tune and plenty of power. The straight away speed was at least equal to anyone else running the sportsman class in the final. It is to be my motor of choice at the Winternats

The link with details says the engine has 7 transfer ports...and the picture of the sleeve seems to show the same thing. What's that about?

howardns 01-31-2014 09:28 AM

Under specs it says 5 ports and that's what mine has

FastPete 01-31-2014 09:51 AM

Think this will be my motor for my new GT! Should be legal most everywhere, and get a modded motor if I want to run where they would allow right?

I have the ISON GT as well and it looks awesome. I have yet to break it in as I cannot for the life of me take out the new Flash Rally PT/A. When I dream about a perfect GT motor first it says Novarossi second it has the new gen cooling head and third 9 ports of rpm fury inside. Perfect motor!!!

Really excited about this season. The ISON is going in after the Airtronics GP in March. I have run a very similar motor to the ISON so I have a decent idea how this one should perform.

I ran it at Homestead for the Pan American GT race and it was a rocket for being a Spec engine,it had great power all over and the run time was insane,i was able to run in the main with the bigger outlaw engines and finish fourth.

What pipes are being used? The ones in the AD?

I tested all the pipes and headers and the best was the 41019 header and 9886 pipe,I was getting 7:35 runtime in homestead wich is a really long track .

Ok thanks just concerned because im stuck at 12.0 and 8.80 gearing or higher, unless I go with a different 2 speed to get a better gear selection. I mainly run at LH in Joliet IL.

Ah man LA was the reason Gus and I bought the Flash Rally. The straight is so long there we wanted to open them up big time. I'll bring the ISON too and see what everyone else is running, if the Flash is way faster than the field I'm sure Gus and I will swap em out.

I see nova did away with there "basic sport" line. That being said I pulled up the exploded view of the ison5gt and the basic sport n21-5t and there same motor other then the crank. Piston rod sleeve carb block head button are all the same. Me gt motor has a balanced putty filed crank vs the n21-5t. Smoke in mirrors

1966ss 02-06-2014 05:09 PM

Basic sport is now the "live range". There onroad 5port now called the "brave" is the same as a n21-5t.

Very good info bro....I kinda felt it was going to be an off the shelf rehash...based on that low price ! Carry on Nova !

spooky 1 02-13-2014 02:14 PM

I have the N21-5T and it's a great little 5 port. I changed the head for better cooling , but I really like the way it runs.

*1speedy 02-27-2014 03:28 AM

A fellow racer asked me about this engine, since I don't have or plan on having one I really couldn't say much except that I "heard" its just the old 5T with a putty filled crank?

I am not a fan of I "heard" I would much rather discover from some of you that have this engine and have disassembled it and looked at it or would post a picture.

The info on the Nova website says the the piston and sleeve part # is NVR08549 and that is typically for a Kangaroo and is NOT a 5 port.

Thanks...

.
