SERPENT USA/MEGA ENGINES/JACO
Thanks for the info Roniel. I spoke to Paolo and he seemed very pleased with the power of the DSII.

I'm looking forward to racing with you guys again at the Nats.

Chris.. can you share info on clutch settings/combination for DSII? thanks
I am still using a Nova based motor in my 960. Maybe Paolo could jump in and give you the info for the clutch settings on the DSII.

Offcourse he is happy with the power, he is a teamdriver........
Don't get me wrong, I am a Serpent driver to, and I like sticking with them just because it's a Dutch product...
But a teamdriver will never admit that the product he runs, sucks, if he does, his contract will not last very long....

Still also I believe that the DSII is a VERY nice engine, and that engines like this and now the new Ninja can kill those Nova based overpriced ones.......

You have the choice, or Mega/Picco, or Mega/Nova....

The reason I ran the Nova based motor is because my uncle was an importer here in U.S.

I hope to try the DSII soon.

Your uncle WAS an importer?.....
so not anymore?....

but nevertheless, I support Serpent with the Mega engines only because they ARE less expensive then others brands.....
I also took over a MAX MF team engine for a nice price from a Mugen teamdriver who switched to JP (and now Ninja) but this engine after 3 liter of fuel (less than a gallon) broke both those separations (how do you call them?) between the 3 exhaust ports....
It is still running, but some damage is done.....

And this is a 600,- Euro engine...........

Also the Ninja engine are nice priced, but I'm hearing different story's....
Yes they seem to be reliable, but no the performance is not impressive......

max engine run fast but not a long time

for the ninja there is a lot of publicity....ok those engines have a good power but not as much as the publicity say

i'll try a DSII before the end of 2006

Masao Tanaka TQ and victory with the S-960 at the FEMCA 2006 CHAMPIONSHIP

Tanaka took the honors at last week Femca champ in Taiwan taking TQ and Victory in 1/8 scale class driving a Serpent 960 with Nova engine.

Looks like this combination is working pretty well for him and that Serpent is coming back to the winner circle with a really good car.

Attached a few pictures i found on the net

did you see his car ?
he run without stifners...a lot of drivers run like that,i heard when we run with stifners the shaft 2-speed broke...and without stifners this problem is solved...and the rear has more grip
i run like that since my last race(15 days)
