Hi,
Anybody who can comment about the proper throttle servo position plz do so.
What i mean is that i see pros and cons for each choise, laydown or upright.
For example, and to help your commentary, in laydown position, i dont feel good to have my receiver so close to the middle belt....
In upright, i dont like my servo horns to "mess" with the tank..

In any case plz discuss and if possible post some pictures of your "upright" servos
Thanks in advance

In my opinion, both ways work well, the only reason why i keep my receiver on the side is to prevent the least amount of fuel splashing into my receiver. When we were running the car with the rx next to the side belt, we encountered fuel in our receivers. But to avoid that, you can just wrap it in a balloon.

On another note, we had successful results with the SATO SEIKI chassis this weekend at Sun Valley Speedway in Sun Valley, CA for the KO PROPO Westcoast point series. The car had greater steering in all aspects of the corner without sacrificing grip anywhere. And the car became more responsive.

Thumbs up from me for this chassis!

since the 950 I have loved having the servo on the left side. After dropping out of 2 different races because of ppl crashing into me and breaking my receiver, I have picked the safer option. This was before the wonderful receiver covers that basically encase the receiver and most of the wires which comes with the 960 though. still, having the receiver on the left side cleans up the wiring imo, no need to bunch up the wires or tuck them away. I also don't like the look of something sticking out of the side of my car :-P

as for the throttle, never lay it down, it's not worth it. you will break the mounting tabs on the servo case every time you hit something, the extra linkage is sticky when new, and floppy when worn. You will have to buy the aluminium lever as the plastic one just bends every time you apply the brakes (mine is laying around useless now). as far as center of gravity goes, as long as you mount the servo upright but below the radio plate, you gain nothing by laying it down (think of all of the extra stuff you have to mount to the radio tray too, all of that is just weight and a chance for the servo to flex).

hope this helps

The Jaco Foams on Serpent Rims are Jaco's.

the Xceed foams are from a different manufacturer on the serpent rims.
