Default 12X18 ceramic bearing set...

Hi guys,
yesterday i tried out the new ceramic bearing set with the light weight rear
wheel shaft with WOS spacer... the bearing bushing is not holding up... i had a slight hit at the wall... everything is OK but the bering went into the rear upright... one ring break off from the bushing... has anyone experience this b4??
is there a alluminium bushing for this part?? thanks

regards
CK

ck960,

#903225. I too have the lightweight rear axles on my car and the new 12x18 ceramic kit. I do not have the #903225 bushings in the rear and I am not running the WOS spacer that comes with the rear axles. No problems so far with no spacer/bushing. I am also running the quick change levers in the rear instead of the fixed nuts.

For your situation the #903225 bushings in the rear should keep your inner and outer bearings spaced out with the new 12x18 ceramic kit.

Hope this helps.

Sorry....are you saying you're running the Vector NT bodymount arms with the 960 bodymount on your 950? If so, are the Vector bodymount arms different from the 950's? The reason I ask is because it looks like the 950 arms are just too short and cause the suspension to bind at full droop because of this. I'm hoping that the 960, or Vector NT, arms are long enough to prevent this

This is the rear body mount arm for the 950 as well as the Vector NT. They are the same. From the 950 and the 960 the rear body mount arms are different in that they are slightly taller i believe.

I believe, if im not mistaken, the 950 bodymount arms should work with the 960 bodymount, but it may require a bit of dremel work on the bodymount and the bodymount arms as well itself for them to clear properly. It's not much, but you'd have to engineer it yourself. (Im not too sure though, but i know of racers that have done this so im just passing on information ive been told.)

Hope this helps!

Hi.
Where do you guys buy your spares for 960?
I'm getting sick of musrhoom already, sometimes it takes 3 weeks for the order to get here.
I need a good online store that is fast and reliable.

Can't beat Robert's "www.ashfordhobby.com" online ordering. Once you log-in (like a forum), you can order every part of every manufacture and see in real time the quantiy availlability for each item.

Then you receive the e-mail order confirmation and tracking number, which let's you see the items ordered and the tracking number to watch the package headed to your door!!

(if you've ever ordered that "must need" item the week prior to a race only to get the package and see that the one part you needed out of the 5 your ordered, is back ordered) UGH!!

I agree with Darin. I always have good luck when ordering parts from Ashford.

It almost make me want to cry when I see the price your asking for the 960 compared to whats been asked in this country.
