Rich - that's great that Empire is going to make the pulley. Thanks!

Can you post when they are available? Thanks

We will let you know when the pulleys are available.

As a note - we are developing aluminum, multiple offset front upper hangers. They will allow a "wide" range of settings for the front geometry. Details to follow - once we complete our testing.

Default Nationals update

Hello Evolva fans. We are back from the Nat's. Evolva qualifies 1-2-3. Finished second.

A Main breakdown:

Three Evolvas
Seven 960's
One MRX 4
One Delta

Boy, this is one tough car. What a beating Scott's car took on the false start of the A main. As Scott's car was being placed on the track - the starter yelled "go" - the flag hadn't hit the ground. Scott grabbed plastic -- bad news, the car was still being held by the roll bar - Wheelie time. Of course, as it wheelied it twisted and ended on it's back - just like a turtle. Our car was, now, upside down in the middle of the straight - the 11th qualifiers car, on the pipe, pile drove our car (not his fault). - Crap flying everywhere - Our car was four feet in the air. I thought, oh well, we had a good year anyway - crappy luck. I figured the car would be distroyed.

T-BODZ (Terry) has this on video - it great to watch.

Now for the tough stuff. The car that hit ours (not his fault) was beat up. Our car was fine. I couldn't believe it. It was hit by a car doing 50 mph. Geez, what luck.

I have posted our set-up and comments for the Nationals @

http://www.empirercracing.com/blog.html

As a note: We will be making:
A) Hardened Aluminum Pullies for the Evolva -
B) Our rear sway bar assembly (must have for the serious racer) and a
C) Digital depth gauge for measuring "head clearance" and motor stroke. 21 motors only

So, we run, an open element, Medium conical manifold with a 9886 pipe. The Motors are 1005-RC

(Brad, this is not directed to you - it is a global comment) I do not want to start an argument about airflow - or motor design. You have your opinions and I have mine...thanks.

Rich, Is there a difference between the 1005-RC and the 01005-C/R Motors, from RB. Thanks!

I'm only aware of the C5, 1005 RC: Circuit 8+2 Ports

The 1005 C is a: Circuit 7+2 Ports

Does that help?

will the front belt tensioner fit on a MRX-4? Looks as though it might since it is a two-piece mount. Could someone post center to center dimensions on both sets of holes in the chassis?

I learnt the evolva empire belt tensioner does not fit on MRX-4. You can try to add shim in the middle belt mount to lessen the belt stripping, someone have good result of adding shim. My friend had custom made a piece to their 960 and it is excellent without any more headache with the belt issue. I use the empire one and never have a issue so far, it think it is the best upgrade.

Just wondering why fron belt tensioner is needed when you can adjust from the eccenters.
