Ntc3 shift issue... beginner asking a tired question
My first post!
So I recently gave my Ntc3 rtr + a thorough cleaning. Sprayed it liberally with WD-40. Far too liberally... Now it won't shift into second gear. First is all I get, without difficulty. I've read every thread about "ntc3 shift problems" on this site and others. The thread I've found that most closely matches my issue, was by a guy who had cleaned his ntc3 with denatured alcohol and this had de-lubed the one way bearing in the tranny. I've already purchased some one way bearing lube and I'm ready to dissect and lube that thing. I just thought I'd post this up and see if anyone knows a trick to more accurately diagnose the problem other than just finding someone who had a relatively similar problem and copying his solution. Thanks in advance for any advice you care to lend!

It may be the dose of WD40 on your trans clutch shoes that needs to be fixed.
I would picture replacing the trans clutch shoes since I've heard mixed results from attempts to 'degrease' friction parts.

Are there any household equivalents to brake cleaner? Perhaps denatured alcohol or something available at a pharmacy or supermarket?
I live in South Korea and getting to an auto repair shop will be difficult.
