Thanks

you will need SG crank, unless you get one of those mugen adaptor, if I am not mistaken the part number is H0701, but I might be wrong

EnzoFerrari 08-26-2003 10:58 PM

where can i get this adaptor? Will i hurt performance in any way with the adaptor?

I have seen it in my LHS, really dont know where to get it online, in fact after my previous post I was trying to search the internet to see if I can find it! let me go to my LHS see if they still have it!

Oh wait, the adaptor I was referring to is for Novarossi base engine dont know if it would fit pico

acehardwarehobbies have it

i believe the part # is T0701
i use it on my RB engine

i dont know if it will fir the picco or not

EnzoFerrari 08-26-2003 11:13 PM

Thanks Alot guys. I will order one up.

FREAKAH 08-26-2003 11:17 PM

i don't think it will fit a Picco cause their crank doen't have a removable threaded shaft.

alright, something we might want to share according to your experience on MTX3 rear diff setting.

what would you prefer most?

1/. stock diff. what # diff oil? what kind of track conditions?
2/. solid axle, what body shell on it? and track conditions?
3/. negative diff? the advantage? give and take? any modification to the negative diff clutch shoes? and what diff oil?

Stock diff, 50,000 wt oil, permanent track with medium/high traction.

Car rotates quickly and accelerates hard, much lighter than neg. diff, more controllable than spool.

Corse-R 08-27-2003 03:57 AM

Stock diff (3 complete units - I'm too lazy for changing fluids on the track, simply swap units), 10000, 30000 and 50000 oils.

Medium to high track, sometimes real grippy (with grays and 42's all around you can do some pretty good traction rolls - is a nightmare). On this moments will love a real spool.

Still got the same big mouths I see...Thats nice.....

Too bad you missed the oppurtunity to come race this weekend at the HPI Challenge(and put your money where your mouth's are)...Now I know Mantis digging for oil on the other side of the planet, and EVO isn't even man enough to post where he lives(whats the matter, afraid of a visit from someone who CAN beat you on a racetrack?)...But Steffie?......

Now YOU should have come up and raced....

Alot of guys from all over the east coast read this forum, and this thread.....And I met just about all of them..They all saw me run,we all had a good time, and they all told me what a kick they get from reading my post's.....And,instead of BENCH racing, which is all you guys are good for, they actually put their cars on the track and ran them...

And they all agreed on one thing...I'm fast...(and so were they)...

oh yeah,

And you're a bunch of Ass Clowns....

I'll be at the HPI WORLDs in Las Vegas Oct. 1st.....

Show everyone on RC TECH you got some "cojones"......Come out and race.....lets see how well you prepare, tune, build, maintain, and DRIVE......

And a special "SHOUT OUT" to my new freinds from OHIO..

They read this column all the time..but really don't post...

Guess they spend too much time RACING......

And now.....

Back to the 3 Stooges......MOE(tibore),LARRY(lution).and SHEMP(phanie).....(Sorry,you don't even rate being Curly)...

I find that the stock diff works very well with MTX3. I started with stock setting of #7,000 and moved on to #30,000. the car reacts very fast on corners and rear traction has improved. I might want to try #50,000 later on.

If I need to use messy things, prefeer to do in home, with tranqility and plenty of soap and water to wash me (well someone gets real mad when she looks me enter in the bathroom with the hands covered in grease or god-ever-know).

Will love a real spool not a piece that locks the diff outdrives.
