Corse-R, were you at European, Vila Real? that's a A class track with tyre killer track surface.. they did that on purpose?

Nope... Is a permanent facility. Here at Europe, usually the tracks are from an Association rather than a individual guy. Usually you get access to those tracks making a monthly payment or making daily payments (very uncommon) and the results are some killer tracks.

On Europe are very common to see those kind of tracks.

Regarding Euros, couldn't went at final (weren't hotel rooms at a reasonable rate)... Next Euro is on Austria or Switzerland (much probably another killer track there (Lostallo is another killer track)

mtx3 abc's

Hello MTX-3 lovers!

Got an MTX-3 and was wondering how the A, B, C rear blocks works? Like how the car would react using each of them?

There are also A, B, C steering levers and would like your comments on how each piece differs from the other two.

Hope you guys can feed me in on these ABC's.

Thanks

it really depends on the type of tracks ur running.... start off with B in the frnt n C in the rear.

Frnt A-most ackermann....C-least ackermann...B... in btwn
Rear A lowest roll centre....C highest roll centre...B in bwtn...
the nearer the roll centre to the centre gravity the less roll the car has when negotiating bends n vice versa....hope it clears ur doubts

running on small tracks n with rubbers is not my cup of tea..actually i think with such tracks better to go with C in frnt n A-A for the rear....

stock mtx3 rubber sealed bearings

1 Attachment(s)
replaced the kit bearings with the ceramic nitride bearings today. spent me 3 hours and it is a dirty job !!

the kit bearings were very dirty when i took them out. after a rub in a towel, the bearings look new and they are still very smooth. I havent broken any of the kit bearing but replaced them when changing the rear diff oil last time.

RClover 08-17-2003 07:44 AM

damn! ACER ceramic nitride bearings??
send me your stock bearings since you dont need them..!:D :p
thanks

thanks, however i was hoping for descriptions or comments of how each piece work. like how does more ackerman differ with lesser ackerman. and how high roll center feels on track compared to lower roll center or why do we want to have more body roll compared to less body roll???
