Gearing Solved

I called Mugen Racing today and they have the new gear sets available.
1st gear Spurs: 58,59,60
1st gear pinions: 20,21,22
2nd gear Spurs: 52,53,54
2nd gear pinions: 25,26,27,28,29
These gears will really help narrow the splits between 1st and 2nd gears, and also really give you a low drive ratio if needed for big tracks.
For example 2nd gear: 52/29 combo yields 4.53....whoa....I'll be able to tame any straight with that ratio.

I ordered the gears from nitro house. Hope this helps some.

i pick up a set of those gear from Mr. Lam last night. each of the gear comes with a gear ratio chart and the ratio is down to 0.001 i think it is not enough for DATA who needs 0.0001 !

I suggest looking at the mugen site it has the two gear charts for the standard gearing and also the new 0.8 gears. There you can compare what you are currently using and then see what gear ratio will marry up with the new 0.8 gears. Mugen

Is that the Kawahara adjustable rear sway bar set I see on your car? How do you find it? is the stiffest setting on the adjustable bar harder than the 2.5mm mugen optional rear sway bar? how does the lightest settiging compare to the standard mugen rear sway bar?

Eddie, is there anything different between the Mugen belts and the Kawahara belts? materials? width?
The Kawahara is softer belt and dull, while the Mugen is harder and shinier.

yeap..that's the Kawa Adj Anti Roll Bar Set.
This is a must-get hop up, seriously! The adj stiffness allows me to adj according to the different track conditions. Yes, it is harder than the 2.5mm ones!

the lightest of this adj roll bar is just about the same as with the stock ones!
