Nobody has seen it yet. The car is still in the prototype stage. Mugen doesn't even have it yet.

The steering linkage will hold up just fine. It's the same design as the 1/8 scale MRX-3.

Has anyone noticed the sealed bearings in the pro-spec seem a bit weak.

5 times now I have pulled a wheel bearing out to find the outside case has cracked into a number of peices ! :weird: :weird:

anyone know of any better alternatives at a similar price, or is there some lubricant that may help.

I was told they just don't stand up to impacts, but Ive seen one let go on the 2 speed shaft ??

opps - the previous post was regarding the mtx-2 not 3 sorry:rolleyes:

Maybe try bearings from the Yokomo GT4? The hub bearings are the same size as the MTX-2. Haven't had any bearing problems with both of my GT4's. Both metal shielded and rubber sealed type.

Not particularly bothered actually. I bought it because my MP7.5 died a horrible death and I wasn't going to buy another, overpriced, Kyosho kit before the MP8 comes out.

I agree, the stock bearing isnt that durable. I am using Dynamite Red Teflon Seal bearing now and the quality is very good and durable although kind of pricy, I got them for $4 a piece(10 x 15).

30mm rears??

Does it look like they have made it to where 30mm rears will fit without mods??

Mugen Japan (www.mugenseiki.com) has just released additional information and specifications about the MTX-3.

Carbon Fiber deck and Shocks mounts, ventillated brake and other goodies have now been confirmed.

On the bottom of the last page of Additional Features at the Mugen site, it said:

The tires are GRP Fast tire specially made for the MTX3.
Other tires can not be used.

What's with this? Another Serpent Impulse front wheel deal?

You read my mind Fokkie, I noticed this as well. All GRP tyres (Fast, Ellegi, Sprints) are exactly the same spec, I think it is just marketing thing since Mugen exculsively use FAST tyres. The front geometry of the car looks the same as the old MTX-2 so there is no problem with tyres fitting. Its great to see they have thrown in Foam tyres, lets just hope the price of the car doesn't skyrocket (even if it does Im a RC junkie and still would get it :D )
