Freakah,

yeah, I'm not a big fan of purple, my MTX2 was all red.

I love the car. I was very competitive with my MTX2 for the last 2 years, but first race this season, I was a lap down in qualifying against a lot of MTX3's.

So, I went out got the car and was on the pace immediately the first time out. I gained a good second per lap on a17 second track

Setup: I cnaged the rear end a bit.
50,000 wt inthe diff
A-Blocks
Shocks all the way down
2 degrees toe in and 2.5camber
I run 42/42 Mugen Foams (the rubbers are just my "parking tires")

Manticore, thanks.

stupid front diff leak is really getting on my nerves.i did EXACTLY what you guys told me to do:fill up to the cross, makes sure i dont overfill, both sides of diff are clean, and applied air seal on both sides of the gasket(waited 20mins to set and 1hour to cure).the REALLY SUCKS!!!!mugen has to make a better diff, the rear diff isnt leaking beacause the cap is very thick and rigid, not like the front diff cap,its thin and flexy.i really wish someone could make a hope up for the front diff.

FREAKAH 04-11-2003 02:06 AM

Like I said before, Air Seal is too thin. Use automotive RTV silicone.

unfortunatly you have not done EXACTLY what we said, as above post you need to use RTV silicone!!

mine and many others have leak free diff so its not mugens doing some thing wrong!!!

I had the same problem with leaking fornt diffs. on my MTX-2 and the rear on MTX-3. Try this: Use some sand paper and sand down the diff case (Part T0220E). Sand the part it meets with, Part T0220D. This creates an even smoothe sufrace on the diff case. I used this method on the diffs on my MTX-2 and now on the rear diff on my MTX-3. My diffs never leak.

Let me know how it worked out.:spidey:

Also, Kawahara will be making the rear sway bar. I wonder if they'll make a blade type and hope it will perform much better job than the 3Racing.

What is your opinion on the rear sway bar 3Racing makes?

jason102276 04-11-2003 12:31 PM

ive heard it is kinda soft even in its hardest position but i dont have it because of hearing this so i dont know for sure

I haven't used it--still have it in the sealed bag. But, my friends did not like it for the fact that it does not deliver what it'd supposed to do. However, it does not worsen your setup should you decide to use it. Kinda look cool, though.

I've seen the Serpent 835 one and hoping that Kawahara would match its quality. Oh! Well... just my $0.02.

By the way, what's up with this "just my two cents" anyway? Is it some kinda slang that I didn't know 'bout?
