It looks like it might be discontinued. I have one of those tools had it many years. This is a good equivalent. I wouldn't recommend using pliers at all as it can deform the adjusting nut. In a pinch you could use small circlip pliers and insert the tips into the adjusting nut and rotate that way.

Just put a 2mm Allen driver through to hold the clutch bell. Wrap the pinion with a rag and then tighten as much as possible. It won't fall off. If you have the proper pinion tools it's much easier.

It doesn't last very long. You'll see the wear occurring on the drive surface. The standard steel bell with yellow shoe is more than acceptable.

The Alu bell doesn't last long regardless of the shoe. If set correctly the yellow shoe lasts a very long time with the stock steel clutch bell.

If your springs and dampening are not the same then your setup is NOT the same. Try the complete setup and see if you like it

The rear is very soft for the 977 that will make the car very unstable and will not remain predicable / consistent. Especially on that washboard Halifax! As nitrodude says if your not running the same shock/spring package as Mark then you are not running the same setup! In my experience Marks setups are on the money for the UK tracks. He is also a very approachable and helpful guy. Did you go and speak to him at a national meeting at Halifax? If not why not? He is a factory driver and part of his job is customer service

Well, if new to 1/8 on road, be patient to the characteristic of how to turn on 1/8 on road car, it needs throttle to turn, just right about power to turn not even slide or heavy power turn. So get used to standard chassis setup, proper clutch tune and get used to this characteristic first.
