Any pdf's set ups for mtx4.

Getting ready for this summer. I'd like to see different setups to analize the car. To me setups are only refferences no two people could run same setup and be fast.

thank you for your help

Let us know how the DX3r works out.

I haven't got a dx3!:sweat:
I must have missed mention of the dx3 in scotts post!:blush:
I only read that he was having issues in his old age!:sneaky::lol:
I'm running the 3pk with "spectrum":sweat::D
The lanyard does take the work out of holding it though!;)
Still a valid tip !;):sneaky::lol:
BTW how's the beer gut coming along?:sneaky::D:lol:

we call them a kyogen down under... kyosho front end, mugen rear :lol:

I'm guessing this isn't exclusive to oz but I still think it's awesome

Scott mentioned picking one up in the DXR3 thread. My beer gut is fine; now I have ankle problems. Where did you pickup the lanyard from?

hi guys.. was thinking of getting a second hand mtx-4.. dont know th real difference between this car and the mtx-4R.. Is there a 'real' big difference in performace?

gentleman81 01-29-2008 02:03 PM

all depends on your driving style, but with a few upgrades the mtx4 can become an mtx4r. check out the mugen web site and select technical data. it will show u the parts that are different that on the 4. the uprights are different and will change the steering of the car. that was the major difference i felt. also you can upgrade to universals instead of dogbones to make the car almost bulletproof.

Anyone tried the vent disk brake with the stock pads? Never really had that much of an issue of lack of braking - just had to find a setup to use on the radio. Didn't see the teflon pads in stock so I just got the brake and the MSR Titan middle shaft for now. Also a new .12 to use during racing and will purchase a new clutch set to use on it as well. Just currently debating on installing it now or later on. :nod:

guys why do you use 24t pulley with 2mm smaller tires instead of 25t pulley with no tire split?does it have a difference? thanks

JayL 02-04-2008 09:58 AM

HarKonnenD: yes, about the vent disk with stock pads...only diff with teflon pads is when someone pits for you that spills fuel you have no or less issues.

musti: 24t gives more on power steering, in the 4r thread IIRC scott fisher sums it up..

HarKonnenD 02-04-2008 05:45 PM

JayL - Thanks. :) Going to give it a try when it warms up and break in my new .12 motor. :smile:

Brake arm play - vertically - How much ?

Anyone know how much vertical play is normal in the brake arm ? I must have around 3mm.

i think there is a answer to this in the mtx4r thread
