Yes, you will put your car on the blocks and use the stepped measuring device. Measure at the bottom on the front upright. That is where I measure my droop. Going to a setting of 1 and 3 (from 2 and 2) is just a 1mm difference in the front and in the rear.
When I set front droop I use the screws to get them as close as possible. I get the side that doesn't have the adjusting cam exactly right and then use the cam to get the other side correct. I have probably got you really confused now!!

Either will work just fine. I use the Associated box because I already had one. It is less money than the Mugen one and it holds the car a little more securely. The Mugen one has the advantage of being able to attach the piece for easy alignment. It also stores in a smaller area. It is more money. Like I said, either will work just fine.

Supercharged starter box
While we are on the subject of starter boxes, I got sick of burning out the standard 550 motors, so i replaced them both with hi torque 750 motors and run tham off a 12v gel cell. This thing now cranks over my EvoII .21 like a force .12 with no compression. Haven't had any issues with starting since!
