Of course the pullies had to get different sizes as well because of this change in order to keep internal ratio in a useable range.
Thanks...that make sence, I knew there must be something (pulleys or so) is getting smaller in order to balance out the small pinion and stock spur gear diameter............thanks. (it would be a hugh disappointment if the 4 is still running those old 1.0 gear module).

Well the car is all built and ready to race. I will be out on Friday so I can get all the bugs worked out. The car went together pretty easy. My only question is, why didn't Mugen move the rear shock tower back a little so we don't have to use the little spacers? This would also help with the clearance of the rear body posts when you move them to the other side of the shock tower.
Jo, Scott, Ken......I did a custom paint job for you guys. Can you guess what color(s)?
I also liked seeing the use of different plastics for the high impact areas. ie front bumper and side areas. This was nice to see. I don't know how many front bumpers I broke on my 710.
I talk to much...

See you guys on Friday....

From 3hobby.net:

MTX-4 beaten in France by 710 [and RRR]

SlowSteady writes "Not quite the best result for the MTX4's first race outing I guess. After a hard fought 30 minutes open final race, Bernard Coulazou's MTX4 "SP MS" came in 3rd, 2 laps down from Jacky Moutton's RB V12 powered 710 and JB Arnaldi's Picco powered RRR. Incidentally, remember Jacky? He won the concourse at this year's European Championships at Halifax. Looks like the boy can paint AND race. anyone knows what on earth is an MTX4 "SP MS"?"
It links to this page in French:

I know, I know.....this doesn't mean anything. I pray all MTX-4's to do well in the races. Goodluck to those who will be racing. I'm still waiting for my LHS to contact me when they get a hold of the MTX-4.

Default MTX-4 Wheel Offset

Hi Guys,
Sorry if this has already been discussed, but what offset wheels are you guys running on the car, (0,1 or 2 degree offset)? Is it true that the car was actually designed to run 1 degree offset wheels?
Thanks in advance,
Jack

According to Mike S. the car uses 1mm offset. He also told me there is no problem using the 2mm wheels we have been using on the MTX3.

Hi there gfd2726 !

I can see that you're using the Mazda 6 body presumably it's from Protoform.

Got a question. When you mount it up on the MTX4, the Rear Bodyposts stands out just in front of the rear wings or it goes through the wings ?

Thanks in advance !

The rear body posts will stand out a little in front of the rear wing. You can install & reverse the rear body posts to the other side of the shock tower if you like to have more room between your body posts & the wing.
