Finally it's done !!! 3 nights of labour and 2 times late to office

Edit: Do you notice mtx4's flywheel is narrower ? And the pinion gears adapter / housing is smaller ( needs 3 small bearing inside ) ? I've got headache on how to switch my engines between 3 and 4 easily. Any ideas ?

Narrower than MTX-3? When I checked against my MTX-3 one they look similar. I'll check again.

Yes the pinion bell housing is slightly different.

I don't understand what you mean "between 3 and 4 easily"?

Check your mid-belt ... I think you've got the wrong one there!

i spend 6.5 hours tonight to rebuild my MTX-4 after ran, replace some optional parts like Ti king pin ball x 8, vent brake disc, all Ti screw, light weight 2 speed shaft, one peace engine mount. Finally, the weight of the car without fuel = 1735g :sneaky:  . I forgot to weight the car before that so i can't tell how many grams that deduct. :flaming: I can go to have a sweet dream now... :o

Finally got mine done too! Took 2 weeks to finish both of them.

The engine bay is so much smaller than the MTX-3! I can barely slide the engine in!

I tell you what, the MTX 4 looks sweet.........and having Mugen support(ROBBIE!!!!) is a great thing.......

last year I was looking for engine advice for my r40.....I called mugen about the x12......even knowing I was driving an r40....and knowing who I was from RC TECH...I got the best customer service this side of HPI......

You bitch about the price of Mugen cars?.........get another hobby...(or buy a duracrap......)

I want to drop the same engine for mtx3 and mtx4.

Currently I can't switch the same engine easily because the clutch system are different thickness ( see front and rear section ). Eg. mtx4 flywheel only matched to mtx4 pinion gear adaptor.

I wouldn't worry too much about the 17 grams. A couple of stickers or a heavy throttle finger could make the difference here

Those scales are not that precise either.
