Default the collari innotech xs 5 port turbo .12

I wanted to know if anyone has seen this engine in use or owns one, and what they thought of it. I've been told that it can hang with the best of the modifieds (JP, RB, etc.) if anyone knows anything please post...........

I've seen it run by one of the local "fast" guys and it was haulin. It definitely gave a JP MT-12 more than it could handle. Very fast engine but still not in the same league as a Richey Mod.

theres a couple Running around here both (3 and 5 port In Sydney Australia) and while it is a quick motor its not a legal motor here, but its up there with the jps ( keep in mind the JPs are still 3 ports though) i know 4 guys who race them, but only one who an "a" driver his car is fast ( his is the 3 port version), one other is "on" par with my Stock novamega and the other guys engine is still unrealible (it flames out all the time thats just tuning though i think) and the last brought the p/s version and its stuffed already so ive been told anyway.

Did it impress me?? NO! not enough to spend my hard earned cash on it, for me ill be buying a JP or the 1.5Hp novarossi which is due out this month they may be a little more expensive its proven product

Looks like ROAR here in the states is gonna make up some rules for an open .12 class. Can you say turbo plugs and prototype bodies?

I have seen one of the 5 port Turbo's run and it is nasty. As for comparing to a JP, you cant. A JP is a beefed up 3 port. The Collari is a none beefed up 5 port. Now if you ported the Collari just like the JP it would smoke it. Of course the Collari isnt ROAR Legal and the JP is.

The JP .12's aren't much for the money. I MUCH rather have a engine done by Dennis for that type of money.

Default Engine problem

Hi, I have just had my L.Collari 3 ports for a few weeks, and am currently having the following problem:

The engine runs ok for around 3 minutes and then stall. I am using a OS #8 glow plug, with high needle set to 5 turns, and low needle 3 turns, and am using the Collari in-line pipe.

This problem only occurs day time (I suppose is because of the higher temperature). The engine sounded pretty rich but max temperature was already 117C after 3 mins of racing.

Any suggestion will be greatly appreciated.

Many thanks!

I have the same problem... part of the solutions is to increase the low end needle. Mine is at 5.5 turns open, the top is at 3.5. I still have a problem and I think I found it, so gotta wait til race day to see if I have it fixed.
