Anybody give those Vantage c/f pipes a shot? When I go CD3, I may pick one up. Everything carbon fiber or polished aluminum would look too trick.

Default Looking for a setup for the track in Toledo, Ohio

I know J. Linn was at the nationals last year in Toledo with his CD3, but if anyone has some setup information from this track I would appreciate it. The track is smooth with lots of traction. I'm looking for CD3 setup info.

Thanks

Please tell me you did a tire change some time in the race Nightmare,, because thats alot of foam on those tires to have run a hour race. I have trouble keeping foam on a 5 min. race.

Its more dust/dirt then anything
Dust = low traction & less foam wear so no I did not change foams, was a new set and ran'em down to about 59mm I think. I was worried about the AAA battery pack (900mah) bit it lasted the distance no worries at all.

Really? What kind of foam are you running, or are you running on sandpaper? 5 minutes for a pair of tires, no matter WHAT they are made of, is much too short.

Nightmare, I'll let you know on that pipe once I get it. I decided I'll keep the LD3 setup now, buy the CD3 for the new track they're setting up soon, and have it the whole black/silver/CF theme on everything. All business. May even get that new OS .12 TZ 5 port since it's black and silver!

BTW, does the CD3 have any upgraded/aluminum center shafts? I like the aluminum bones on the Kyosho and Tamiya, but it looks like Ofna went the steel dogbone route. Fine if you have a RS4, but not something like this...

I've had a FT ntc3 and regular ntc3, 2 r40's and finally the MTX-3. I'll be in hawaii untill the 17th of August and Ill be racing in there series over there. I'll try to do some racing when I get back.

They're being real tight lipped about it so far, just saying 'In PG County', and not being far off the beltway. That leaves a pretty good stretch from Oxon Hill to close to Georgia Ave. Word has it it will be big enough to run pocket bikes, too. How that will play out has yet to be seen. Hopefully it will get the support it needs to stay running

Nice!!!!

I'm hearing its supposed to open up this winter. Well if pocket bikes and nitro cars can race on a single track that should put the track size up there with the Euro tracks. One way and solid axle all the way.

Depends on the layout. But you're right, if it's big enough for 1/5 scale, it's bound to be fast and flowing. It depends on what kind of setup they have, whether it's a permanent track, a la Tamiya, or able to be sectioned off and changed for what's running. Even though electric has a few places in the area to run, I'm sure they will try to race those too, so they will have to tighten the infield up a bit. Time will tell.
