ContactRC Tyres to hit the market very soon

Well the time is getting closer and closer. The announcement has been officially made through REDRC.net. Our name "Contact RC" is public and we are very close to releasing a new tire line that will be sure to impress all.

Paul Lemieux, myself and others have been very involved to ensure that the best tire possible is available for all to get their hands on. The design phase is done and we are ready to start testing product. We will have our web site up and running within the coming days and I will post updates here within this forum.

Will you be offering 1/8th rubber mounted on Serpent/OS1 rims?

Not at the moment, but it might be something we offer in the future.

Yeah, I am happy with the design. I think it is a cool looking rim and can not wait till we have them to sell. We have already had a god amount of inquires about the tires and just need to get them in stock. Hopefully they will be ready soon enough. We hope to have some and show them off at the Nationals.

ContactRC Tires takes National Title first time out!!!

This past weekend were the USA Nationals and it was our first time using the tires. Paul Lemieux got the tires the day of Qualifying and from the start was very pleased. He was able to direct qualify for the final and after 45 minutes took the victory.

DJ, will you have some extra tires for sale at the Novarossi Challenge ? If so, what will the street price be per/set?

Not sure at the moment. I would not count on it. I will try to have some for people to buy, however it would be very little. Will have some for give aways hopefully and the rest we will have to see.

I was wondering whether the 2mm offset rear tires are part of the offering as well?!

When will the mortal people be able to purchase the tires? Where?

At the moment we are not offering the 2mm offset. I remember with twister there was just no market for it. Ever since kyosho went to the new edition and started using mainly the zero's people very rarely purchased any of the 2mm offset wheels. If we see a demand than maybe we will produce a rim for it. The tires should be ready for sales at the beginning of July.

so whats the difference about these tire that makes them the next level?

i dont know much about foams in general we can only get matrix at the lhs and i just got some cap hard light to try for r next race, so i ask just to be informed of what to expect.

The design and material of the wheels, as well as the process in which the foam is mounted. This should make for great consistency from tire to tire. I guess you just have to wait and see. Look forward to the release!

DJ had an extra set of the test tires from the Nationals. I ran them today and they were good. The fit was exact and they were as tight at the end of the day as when I first put them on the car. Tire wear was great. Thanks DJ

Glad you liked them. Wish I could have stayed to watch you run with them, but my son wore me out. I wanted to try to get home before it got too late. Turns out after we got home he wanted to go to the pool. What a long day!
