possible to convert to non pull start?

can i convert a Nitro Star 12R SS pull start engine to a non pull start engine? what parts are involved?

I'm not sure about the HPI engine you mention. If there is a non pull start version available, then, yes, it can be done.

Some engines allow you to simply take off the pull start parts and replace the backplate. Some also require you to grind a nub off of the crankshaft.
