Default What 1/10th runs mod 1 pitch

Building a custom car and in need of a centax clutch with mod 1 gear pitch. I only know of mugen MRX running a mod 1 pitch however the flywheel may be to big for my application .

The older models like the MTX3, HPI R40, Serpent Impulse etc did run MOD-1 but they used the same clutch as the 1/8 models. Probably you can fit an 1/8 clutchbell on a 1/10 clutch.

Would it be too difficult to change the spur gears to 0.08 mod?

Might be able to still find a Losi 810/Ten-T flywheel, but those use a two piece two shoe clutch bell.

We might be able to help more if we know what you plan to do.

.21 in a touring car ... I’m using a 4tec but plan on making my own chassis in the future. The stock clutch in this car is awful and isn’t suitable for a higher rpm engine.

Single speed? I ask because some 1/10 clutches can accept the 1/8th first, mod 1 gears on the second gear location like the Mugen MTX 6.
A .21 will likely tear that drive train apart though. You may be better off with a high performance .12 engine like an O.S. Speed 1203

-nope 2 speed is desired.
-Your saying the mtx6 accept the mrx6 gears?
-i actually just bought a complete mugen mrx6 clutch and clutchbell.
- a .12 is a nice engine but the power a .21 delivers is better lol. I think the drivetrain should hold up besides the outdrives coming off the diffs. Tbh this is my first time touching a nitro 4tec and it is an awful excuse for a touring car. Everything on it is built wrong imo

What I am saying is that you can install the MRX first gears on the second gear step of the MTX clutch bell. The problem with that is that the MTX first gear pinions are completely different and they only fit the MTX clutch bell. I would not consider the 4Tech to be a real Nitro sedan. You would be much better off with a car from Mugen, Serpent, Xray, Infinity, Capricorn, etc. Any of these "racing" chassis will use a centax style clutch. You can turn the MRX flywheel down to fit in your car but keep in mind that it's larger diameter accommodates the clearance of the larger crankcase of a .21 size engine. If you cut it too much, the starter wheel won't reach it through the chassis plate.

ohh I see now and yeah the Mtx is the only kit I know with that weird first gear.
abd a .21 is to large to fit in a true 10th scale. The rear belt will be touching lol.
