This is what I can put together; it has something to do with a certain person in the Nevada area, no name mentioned because he always wants to sue somebody or argue if you DON’T AGREE with him. He think is the best thing since r/c racing came about. This person thinks he is above everybody and smarter so he choose to take things in his own hands and go behind everyone’s back like usual and went to the casino or city and tried to make everybody look bad and how the person who was running the race program just screwed everybody and how he didn’t go my the city ordinance like he was supposed too. Now, while he was talking and telling the person of the casino or city that I am the MAN and the almighty one to change things around, it failed. All his demands that his was TELLING not asking he wanted was too much to listen to so they got tired of him flapping his lips and probably had asked him to leave. He probably screwed it up for everybody again and off to grandma’s house he goes too write another chapter in his black screw up book, lol.

Someone finally pulled his bluff and out goes the jackass walking with his head between his legs believing that he did another great job. Go ahead and slap your own back again job well done. Surprised he was not put in jail for arguing and threatening the people he was talking too. I can hear it now; I will sue you for not listing to me because I have everything on paper you must follow my demands and rules, LOL...

This is confidential letter and can not be read by anyone but the r/c community.
No names mentioned please.

Whatever it is, I think its basically a money problem. When the owners added up what it would cost them to keep it afloat, they decided to bail.

Don't forget this also happened to Revelation in the late 90's and suprisingly enough, it came back only to eventually be converted into offroad.

Revelations was not a money issue with the city, it was a parking issue.
You are required to have so many parking stalls per the amount of employees, and the amount of buisness.
At the time, off-road was stronger than on-road<still is> so Dana had to do what was right for him to keep afloat.Close down the on-road and use the area for parking, or at least reconfiqure the parking area to where the amount of parking stalls would satisfiy the city requirements

You're talking about what happened to Revelation recently when they went to offroad.

I was talking about how they closed for more than 2years in the 90's because they went BK. Am I older than you?

What really needs to be done is, stop blaming people for the the past. Let's try and find a way to save our onroad tracks!!! The RC industry has enough Intelligennt people that if we put out minds together, we can fix this!!! I love racing!!!!!! I don't want to lose another track!!!!!

Well in that case why don't you give Chris Moore a call at Mugen Seiki? They are the ones who have benefitted from the track the most.

Rich B people are always afriad to speak due to possible legal action. In my opinion if its the truth then you dont have anything to worry about. If you are not 100% percent certian then I just keep quite.

Nevada is big place I am from there? I can say its not my name he is refering to. I am one for exposure of the truth if the facts are 100%. What I know for sure it always come back to you, so if its true this person will get there in time.

Why does it matter who benefits the most? If we all get the chance to race at this track or any track for that matter. Again, pointing a finger. I would like to fix this. We are not police. There is no reason to find someone to convict! Sir! So

I understand what you are saying Pooh, but if it is true its hard to have a person like that being part of the RC comunity. I think thats the issue people are having here.

I'm not trying to convict anybody. It was just a mere suggestion on who to call to help fix this problem. Since the Mugen team seemed to have benefitted the most from CP, it would be in their best interest to try to save CP or help with an alternative.

Many others in the RC industry have also benefitted as well. Perhaps there needs to be a consortium for a new partnership to own and manage CP or some other future permanent onroad track.

I understand. I'm kinda looking at it from a wider veiw. Here on the east coast there are about 2 or 3 tracks that are having problems. The nameless guy in Vegas has nothing to do with what's going on here yet we are still having trouble with out tracks here on the east coast. I'd like to find a way where we can keep out tracks all over the U.S.

I also agree that the manufactures should help save the tracks. They pay more taxes than any single individual. They, without a doubt have more power.

Default How do we fix it?

EVERYONE needs to just slow down and think about it.

I don't know what exactly is going on. But if there are difficulties with finances, city etc. Instead of bitching or talking about what could be or whatever. Lets find out what we are short on. And see if we can all group together and get the problems worked out?. I know I would throw down 100 bucks to help. Its not much but if every club member did something then I am sure it would be easier, clubs, hobby shops, mfg's. Instead of pointing the finger, lets figure out what the problem really is, and fix the problem. CP is a pretty sick track, I for one don't feel like just giving it up and I don't even live in socal anymore....
