its just a regular 5 cell 2/3's A battery like this

or you can opt for the lipo with regulator or the liFe. Ive tried all of them and even though the 5 cell isnt the lightest, its the most reliable during really long mains. Lipos are great but the regulator sometimes can overheat if not place in the right place. Since you just got the car I would recommend just a NiMh battery untill you start getting close to the top competition where every oz. counts.

Lipos I have question on. I still use 5 cell NiMh packs. With lipos single cell 3.8v, fully charged at 4.2v. Not only you have a regulator install, Do you have to install a lipo monitor?? Your RX operates at 6v, minimum of 4v. How long will lipos last?? Finals race a 40 minutes???

You need 2C (2 Cell) LiPo which is 3.8v x 2 = 7.6v

No lipo monitor required. Depending on your radio gear, alot of guys don't even use the regulator. Also, there are some 7.6v servos on the market.

I use 7.6v 2C lipos with koPropo w/o a regualator. But use a monitor to see the voltage of lipo. Everybody knows that lipo only discharge to 3v per cell. you discharge the average of 2C to 3v, If your TX/RX cutoff is at 3.2 you'll do fine. extend the life of lipo.

Anyone else notice small cracking around the holes on the clutch flyweights? We used to have the same problem with the NT1 clutch, and ran Kyosho white flyweights to fix this...

Just wondering if the 966 flyweights will fit (http://www.serpent.com/product/903199/), or if there is another brand people are using that are a direct fit?

happened to mine too; one of my 733 flyweights cracked completely at the hole.
966 flyweights wont fit as the size is different.

TRY LIFE , last over 1.5 hours i.e 1`450 mah and no need of a regulator. Much safer too .
