Default Kyosho Inferno GT v GT2...

I have the option to purchase a brand new I-GT for $250.... Or elect to buy a new GT2 for $450.

What are the main differences between the 2 kits beside chassis length?

The GT2 has a longer wheelbase and a larger tank.

Both cars are close, but there are a lot of cool upgrades on the IGT2. Better engine, engine mounts, adjustable turnbuckles and driveability.

The IGT2 is a better base car, but if you can get the IGT1 new for cheap, you could look into how much more all the upgrades will cost and decide then.

Check out the different specs on www.kyoshoamerica.com

Look at the Ferrari vs. IGT2 specs.

Good luck, enjoy

Go for the GT2, it's so much better in all aspects. I have them both.

Racing budget is kinda tight.
Is the AM radio that comes with GT2 really usable in a race situation? I was planning on picking up a used 2.4 rather then using the stock.

Spoke to the guy selling the GT:
$270 on Last years GT.

Was planning on buying that and installing bearings to replace the bushing @ the clutch.
-did not know the turnbuckles where non-adjustable on the GT?
-fuel tank is 25cc smaller.... not a huge deal and it could be replaced later.

heard the GT2 has a different head on its motor?
Saw both kits running last night and the GT2 may have been a little quicker...

Engine is different.. trust me, it's so much better. Only the conrod is the same.

Get also the new 2-speed gears set IG110B and composite clutch KC-45, and racing tires of course. That's all you need besides the 2.4G radio

As a GT1 owner, I would tell you to get the GT2. I would get one, but I've already made all the upgrades myself to my GT1. Plus I like the Ferrari body!

I bought last years GT new for $270.
All broke in and running well.

Just waiting for some parts and tires to get in... then dial in on the local track...

Buddy bought the GT2 and has stripped three 2nd gears already... Which we think is from the 190' straight into a 180 hair pin, thinking it is from braking into the corner and the clutch is still engaged... Popping teeth on the spur...
Tried adjusting the mesh and still having same issues...

I have yet to have any problems with my GT....

Did you swap the chassis out? or is that an option?
I will be looking into it... Should have just picked off the GT2 on ebay for $316 last night....

the 2 speed on the gt2 is the weakest link put the gt1 gears in it or try the other mods to fix that problem

I wrecked mine a few weeks back It gave me an excuse to upgrade to the GT2 by buying chassis $43 and the Black Hawk transmission $150. Now all I need is a GT2 body. Wondering how long before the McLaren body will be available

GT2 for $316 on Flee-bay, you say...I didn't see that one last night at all

You're going to really love your IGT2 car, the Black Hawk SR Transmission conversion is a cool bonus too.

The clear McLaren bodies are out there, I got one like 2 weeks ago, real nice.

Good luck with your car, if you need any help send me a pm.
