Try Tonys hobbies in <city of Industry if I remember right> Last time I was there, he had a pretty good selection of parts.

First of all, that car is older than dirt so it will be difficult to find parts.

Secondly, Anaheim Hills is only 20-30 minutes from Tony's Hobbies. Your options are limited so ask mom or pop to drive you.

Tonys hobbies is actually in La Puente Ca. but it is still only about a 20 to 30 min drive.
Call him, find out if he has the parts you need, and pay the $5.00 to $7.00 shipping charges.
We are rying to help you, but that car has not been around for some time now and your options are very limited.
From the Prime 12, they changed to the MTX3, which has been discontinued, to the MTX4, then the MTX4r and just about every year or so, they either update the models, or every 3 to 5 years come out with a new model, so as you can see what models came after the Prime 12, it is way outdated.

You are not correct on the succession of the Mugen car. They started with the Prime 12, then came the MTX2, then the MTX3, and now the MTX4/4R. The MTX2 was the main competitor to the Serpent Impulse (which I owned both) back in the days when touring car was exploding onto the racing landscape.

Don't know what to tell you as far as substitute A-arms. However, you could probably use the HPI Nitro RS4-3 (HPI Nitro MT as well) or AE Nitro TC3 side exhaust manifolds. As far as dogbones, you might have to experiment with maybe the HPI RS4 ones, OFNA CD3/LD3 ones, or any of the newer Mugen ones (MTX2, MTX3, MTX4).

might be easier to watch EBAY and pick up a cheap car for the parts...

but, I would probably not throw any money at such an old car...

Don't know if Mugen would have any Prime 12 parts in stock. You are looking at a 10 to 15 year old car. It is a great collectors item but if you are looking for something to run everyday, you might want to look at the HPI RS4-3, OFNA CD3/LD3, or Team Associated Nitro TC3. You can find those really cheap on ebay or the "For Sale" threads on most r/c forums.

Download the RS4 manual or partslist from the HPI website....
Or just order one for the few bucks.

Wouldn't it be better to find out this stuff before you had bought the car. It always supprises me how many people can buy a used car without knowing what they realy buy.....

Don't be hard on dawson714. I have been in this hobby for over 20 years and when you are a newbie, you don't know much about what you are getting into. It is easy to believe someone that you think has been doing this for a while and trust what they are telling you. I bet that in the past, you may have bought a thing or two (new or used) without knowing if it was the "in" thing for racing.
