Paul: 2 turns from closed is the default needle setting, you can start with 2 turns and lean it down when running in on the track. The TR 5 port turbo is a fast engine in small to med track. the engine like to run a little hotter to give the power, I am running mine at 130-135 deg. 7 races and the the engine still have very good compression.

Thanks Joewhee, sorry about the barracuda deal. Got back into nitro instead... man its been two years since my last nitro (touring) race...gotta shake 'em cobwebs off.
PS: I think my OS TR Turbo is only has 3 ports and not 5.

Paul: No problem with the fish, to be honest I still prefer my sigma. The car is fast and handle well. As for OS the 3 port cpme with normal plug, you got to change the button to turbo type to used turbo plug, only the 5 port come with turbo button cos it is an outlaw engine.

HSN - 2 turns out
LSN - 2 turns in (I will ask again how to get 2 turns IN)
Middle needle - keel it flush and then turn it in up to 2 turns.
What I noticed is that the middle needle adjustments makes a lot of difference to the TRP's output. See how that works for you.

Well I'm in the Market for a New Motor ....again. Probably going with the TR. Let's see if it can hold up to the rookie torture test.Anyone blow their's up?Is there a differance between the Cranks in the Turbo 5 port and the Std. 3 port?I have leftover Turbo head button and a big Grey Cooling head Maybe I'll have a 3 port Turbo.
