hey guys, was thinking of getting a v10 and have been looking at pictures of them, and was wondering were does the reciver go?. there doesnt seem to be a space for it

Hi the reciever sits next to the throttle servo, pics on the shepherd site show the holder and antenna tube.

ok thanks for the link. it seems to be a dangerous place to put since there is no reciver holder for protection if something happened

To be honest I've run lots of cars 1/8th and 1/10th with the receiver in this position with no box around it and have never had a problem.

If you trace back through this thread I think Coupe (Alex from Shepherd) has mentioned that they are working on a receiver box..........

1/8th on-road is my main priority, but there are some 1/10th races close to home so I'm hoping that I can do those at least...........

Hey guys,
the position of the receiver is never a problem, we use it also in the 1/8, like Neil said, all the time.
And Neil is also right, the receiver boxes are already finished and we will publish them the next days, so thats the solution for the regular diver, ääää sorry, driver !! but i think most of the guys, again like neil said, will use the standard part as long as it doesn´t rain !!!

Hello From France,

on Gilles car pictures from RCBlood, I saw several things.

- modified rear upper wishbone
- red bearings
- blue alu screws
- Team Orion Engine, Star motor/Sirio base

Is there any explanation, or just test car?

Another strange thing are the setscrews in the rear upright?.
Looks like they are set against the bearings.

Don't mean to speak for him but I guess I will anyway.

1. I suspect he cut the arms just to make camber adjustments easier. When you crash as rarely as he does you can get away with such things.

2. Probably sponsored by them but who knows

3. Blue screws look cool and are lighter. What's wrong with that?

Also, I have often put set screws in uprights before to remove any slop between the upright and bearings. Toe changes bug the hell out of me.

As with any driver (sponsored or not), I would venture to guess that Jilles and Josh are going to do whatever it takes to a car to qualify well, finish the race and place as high as possible. They'll also do a lot of testing on how to make the car better as well. Is anyone (everyone - ) expecting them to win with an out of the box car without any modifications?

I think it's cool to see what they do to the car to make it work for them. Interesting stuff!
