 Yeah, I think I'm one of them.

I agree with the rest of the terms and their effects but I think the term downstop refers to how far the chassis travels upwards or how far the shocks travel downwards. That's according to the XRay setup book.

Upstops are never used though.

what people call upstops, I use em :) up front anyway however I refer to them as down stops. I personally always relate to the part that is moving up and down which is the physical chassis

nice try on the dig though LOL:D

Thank you for the confirmation, that would be my guideline.:)

Read/heard some where that the Team uses 5-step shok absorbers :weird: It's better to tune the car? and if so, how do you make a 4-step adjustable shock absorbers in a 5-step

I can't beleive how lucky you guys are! Over here in the UK we'll pay £350 to £370 sterling which is equivalent to about $575 US Dollars, I tell you this country really sucks. :flaming:

Yes, that's an excellent question Schrijver99. I've always wanted to know this. I believe it's 1 mm hole of 1.2 mm if I'm not mistaken. And I also notice that they use thicker shock oils when using these shocks...

I remember somebody mentioning on mytsn (Paolo perhaps??) about how to modify those shocks to include the 5th hole but I cannot remember who. I believe it was in the 950 thread...

when i was at my lhs, saw them building shocks wif 5 holes. i notice tat 4 holes r the same size, & the 5th is slightly bigger, but i nvr bother to measure them. 950r comes wif 35w shockoil, 5 holes shocks

Yes I am running with FC.
The my track width problem is due to the hex ring I used to get enough clearance for my steering block and rim/foam
Actually I think the left FC is f*cked, time to get a new one...
I checked ALL local dealers, and nobody has the serpent bearing for the FC. They all try to sell me this cheap stuff.. I broke 2 of them already...

lawndoggie 11-20-2003 03:36 AM

So Big D, will you be coming to HK anytime soon?
It would be nice to have someone to try out my car, and then give me some feed back. With 8 minutes of track experience... its hard to know what to expect from a "well tuned" car. :p

Easy. They are actually the same size as the MTX-3 front bearing. :sneaky: The size is 10 x 15 x 4. You can also get it at a bearing shop. Cheaper than the LHS. I believe Speedmind also sells the 10 x 15 x 4 ceramic bearing version. I believe this you can get easily at where you are.:D
