This is not your first Nito Competition Chassis Kit? You have basic knowledge of ackerman, roll center, and center of gravity? At your local track, your driving consider above average? If any of your answer is NO, you will enjoy more for driving other brand such as the Team Magic G4 (best handling out of the box) or MTX3. If you need to know what's good or bad about S710, browse as many pages back to read what they all have to say. |

Originally posted by KevinS  Congratulations, you have managed to make all of our bodies look like crap! But seriously, that's one awesome paintjob! Are you going to put it in a display casing or are you actually going to run your car with it, knowing it will be hard to make another one? Thank you, Kevin. I was planning to run this body in our local club series, but after it turned out so well I have different plans now. I am going to save this for our Canadian Gas Nationals in August and run it there... I believe they have a concours event. Meanwhile, I have another McLaren body that I will paint up and run locally... just to get used to the handling. http://www.travel-net.com/~gcauley/C...s/Dcp_1424.jpg |

If you have some one at your LHS w/ a 710 and your a beginner as for ast tuning, then you will have some one to help you; then i would say w/o a doubt by the 710! If you are a beginner and no one drives the 710 at your LHS then probably not. But if you are like me i would buy the best car anyway (710) and learn as i go:D :D My driving & tuning skills will catch up with the 710 soon:lol: and i will have fun trying to bridge the gap. And when that gap closes, other r/c cars and drivers BEWARE:sneaky: :sneaky: :D :D :D |
Well off the watch some races. I hope to buy a use motor from someone. My 710 is collection dust setting on the shelf, but man it looks good:lol:

Strange problem with the Centax
Hi Guys, had a really strange problem with my centax today: both the metal shielded bearing were destroyed and I could hardly remove them from the bell and engine shaft  I'm not sure why this occured as the thrust bearing is A1 condition - not signs of wear or damage
I checked the centax last night and it spun beautifuly - not notching or sticking. At the track I didn't notice anything until I span the back wheels and felt something sticking - I thought at first it was the thrust bearing, but it was due to the destroyed metal shielded bearings. The only thing I can think of was that an Mugen guy hit the side of my car quite hard, just after I blew him away :sneaky:  but I don't see how this would have caused the two bearing to fail. Any ideas anyone? |
