Now. i have brand spanking new MRX-3 Works kit on my hands for a great deal. and i'm thinking about selling it while it's new and go back to serpent.. 950-R. now.. the question is.. will there be a new 1:8th scale car from Serpent?
i mean, if there's a new version with upgrade kit, i'll be happy with it. but a new car? let me know asap please~ i have a guy who wants to pay $500 for my works kit waiting.

Sure we will make a new 1/8 scale car in the future.
But the possibility to do that for next year is nearly zero.
So don’t be scared, our 1/8 scale is the 950R. Just give it a chance.

Yep, new products must been tested in longrun's. We only changed the accu and back on track.

The days where we changed from one model to a complete new one every two years are luckily gone. The 950 goes into his second season as the 950R, so end of next year (that's what we are talking about, right?) there will be probably some update stuff, but no new car!

Tyre diameter

What was the best tyre size for the 710.

On my 705 I use 61 to 62 mm with 5 to 6mm ride height with standard arm posistions. I know the roll centre changes as you change the arm angles.
Most setups on mytsn run larger tryes.

Like I said, I would think there would be some performance benefit using a laid down throttle servo. But I guess the performance benefit does not add up a lot when a lot of space is also take up side ways.

Talking about space, I also remembered someone (perhaps one of the team Serpent guys) say that by putting the throttle servo laid down, you take up space side ways and outwards from the centreline and while putting the weight down, you also distribute the weight more outwards. By putting more weight further away from the centreline, you create more polar moment in the car which is not good. That's all I can think of...:D

Very good answer D, especially from someone, who thinks the wheels move forward when you change belttension;) ;) ;) ;) ;)
Anyway, every little bit helps, but obviously space is limited in the 200mm cars. So we found that moving everything outside due to a layed down throttle servo, we loose too much compared to what we win in CG.
In 1/8 scale i'ts different, and don't forget the cool looking!!:D :D

 Ooophs, that was a momentary brain fade ! Perhaps too much magic mushrooms !

Well, those answers are actually not from me. I just happen to remember them being discussed. That's all. So credit should go out to the driver's that participated in the 705/710 forum.

i'll settle with the reason for laid down throttle servo being cool looking...

the diagonal steering servo on the 710 looks cool too... :D

Perhaps another way of asking is how do you find the best tire diameter for your car?

Some input from the team drivers maybe?:D

I think it's because these forums are searchable and MyTsn forums are not...

IMO the whole MyTSN site could be a whole lot easier to navigate through. Don't get me wrong, the site is loaded with great info, but just hard to sort through.
