After looking at the 3 pivotball hub carrier design incorporated in the new Serpent I will say that I believe they have messed up the design once again and the car will again be heavier than really need be. To have the whole wishbones and hubs moving to create the active toe requires a lot of extra parts which just add weight. Looking forward to the Winter Nats. I believe my system is more sound and |

Re: 710 HEAVIER OR NOT HEAVIER?
Originally posted by mop_iko now i am wondering..... is 710 really heavier than 705? coz... the chasis is 4mm compared 3mm in 705. then MODELLOR said 3 wishbone will make it more heavier. then the pullies are bigger then they add 3rd body pole why they wanna use 4mm chassis instead of 3mm? :tire: mop:tire: Nevertheless, the 705 wasn't that heavy, at least mine wasn't, compared to other cars out there. -The third wishbone should not be a concern, especially with alluminum pivot balls. -The pullies will make no noticeable difference, especially since where the car appears to gain more teeth on one pulley it is losing them on another. -3rd body post:rolleyes: . That has to be the most advantageous 0.0000001 ounce (exaggerated, of course) piece possible. Its weight is minuscule enough to not even mention. -It looks to have smaller bearings throughout. |

Hope this time they do the evolution process in the factory and by track testing  (just like "evolution" said):) |
Re: Re: 710 HEAVIER OR NOT HEAVIER?
Originally posted by Proficar403 It looks as if they are using a different plastic material also; they claim it to be stiffer. Traditionally, the stiffer the material, the lighter. The 705's plastic was VERY durable, mainly because it was so flexible. I believe the S705 material is already the hardest compare to others, mainly khyoso and mugen.. which where China and Taiwan made... |

Lots of talk
It looks like you serpent people finally have something to talk about.
I still cant believe they havent offered universals for the new car, if they do they should come with the car. NOT AN OPTION! |

Originally posted by B Whats wrong with Taiwan made? Almost everything is made there today. True serpent is not made there, but talk about quality Basically Japan and or Europe has higher standard... It would have been the same when purchasing TV for example, I prefer to buy Sonny or Panasonic and the japan made (within specific tipe) must be higher in price (that`s for sure with a reason beside labor cost), but somehow giving me more of a self convindence on its quality.. That`s my opinion.. |

Originally posted by Pyramid Nothing wrong, Basically Japan and or Europe has higher standard... but very very few cars are actually made there right now. I am talking about 1/10th touring cars. If there is a car which is good and made in Japan, please let me know |

Pyramid: in case you play EP.. you will be very happy with TRF414 performance and its duraliblity.. soon TRF415 ... Im dying to wait for a GP car that handle just like 414. Hope this 710 will do. As for re-active RR Susp. Im not pretty clear about this one. Is it like a "bump steer" condition in FR susp of 1/8 Buggy ? |
