Servo Saver

I am going to install the new (longer) servo saver lever this weekend and just wanted to know if there were any special modifications I will need to make or do I just install it like the original?

Thanks

You will need to make the steering link between the servo and servosaver a little longer, and reset your end-point settings on the transmitter.

Mine is actually set at 39.5mm with a Sanwa VRX.
Should I set longer too? How much?
Thanks

The end-points is fine but could you define "a little longer" for the link? If it matters, I am using a Hitec 5945 servo.

Thanks

I wouldn't know how much longer. But we changed the angle between the two parts of the servo saver. Before at maximum left throw the saver and the link to the servo would be almost in a straight line which was not ideal.

You want to get the saver in the center position with the servo arm leaning slightly forward.

If you get equal throw in both directions with close left/right end point settings on your transmitter you're ok.

So the angle of the mounts has changed a little bit. I will keep that in mind when I install it. Should the lever hit either of the front bulkheads? It looks very close right now. Need I be concerned about the clearance at the front pully?

It's great having you here for assistance.

Thanks alot.

Jim

Julius, you're referring to the 44.5 mm linkage in the manual?

Jim, are you using oneway front or a the front ball diff?

If you're using the front ball diff, then you need to change to the new 2 piece diff clamp that comes packaged together with the new servo saver (802145) for better clearance. Or you can get that part separately (802387).

You mean you mount the rear sway bar link on the inside of the rear lower arm (the manual suggest the outer part)?

Mounting it inside gives a softer setting.

Ok I think I didn’t explain my self correctly what I mend is That I have the position of the pivot ball, is 2.5mm before the end of the anti-roll bar.

Yes that is right, I like it because it give you more scalable changes.

I will do some testing on Saturday before the Sunday race to test the car

Thanks for your help D.

Well there is one mystery solved....
The upper arms are flat not tilted forwards.
Ther reason the shim is on top? Because that way master Salven doesn't loose them in his pitbox!

hey

LOOK ,he is not running a oneway he is using the balldiff in the frt,i found a few that run the balldiff ,an run it on big tracks also. From what i understand u get the best of both worlds.Tighten to work as a solid, adjust to act as a oneway.I,ve seen maxey of maxeysfuel. Using the diff man he was unstoppable,Also u hve brakes.
