I have not tried the newer Novarossi pipes. Tried the older ones and they were good.

I would think the outlaw ones would take more fuel but it's pretty insignificant I believe.

I wa thinking of getting the new RD Logic pipe but I don't think anyone locally sells RD Logic? Plus I'm making an order with RC Mushroom soon and they don't carry RD Logic so if I go and get RD Logic from somewhere else I'll have to heavy for shipping where if I get a Novarossi pipe from Mushroom I won't have to pay anymore shipping because my order is quite large.

In that case, why not buy the SHARK pipe? They are very strong.
The reason I am saying this is that I personally do not find novarossi pipes very strong. They sure are fast, but dents relatively easily. At least this was the case for the previous pipes. Not so sure about the ones now:)

Ya, Nova pipes are pretty thin but they do that for power reasons I believe? ONe piece Outlaw pipe at Mushroom is pretty cheap, $69 US Complete.

But slightly difficult to tune from my own experience. If you know and you're used to it, then it's ok.

Yes, I believe the Novarossi pipes are still "weak". I believe the RDLogic pipes are even weaker...

I have never had experience with RDLogics pipe. But from its looks, I can say that they look very similar to Novarossi pipes, hence may be quite weak:)

However, they are still cheaper.~

Supermaxxrich: If you don't mind the brand. Eddie at GH made some real STURDY and fast (they are duplicates of the RB pipe). Best of all, they cost around $40 CAD. Most of the people at Landsdown use them. I have one myself and like it quite a bit. I took it and bashed the stinger HARD against the floor with no dents!
Just a thought. ;)

Thanks for letting me know "B". I'll keep that in mind.;)

SupermaxxRich 03-18-2004 11:43 PM

Hey "B", is the Lansdowne track fast?? Like big straights compared to Apollo? Would I need to gear down for Lansdowne so I don't run out of RPM?

SupermaxxRich 03-18-2004 11:48 PM

Anybody know where I can get the 800 mah battery pack for the 710?? Mushroom used to have them but they seem to have discontinued that part number.

B 03-18-2004 11:54 PM

Hey

Supermaxxrich, no problemo, anytime.

I would not consider apollo to be a big track at all with long straights!!:D I always say that the track is only for EP!! It is too small for GP IMO, and i think many people will agree with me.

Lansdown is better for GP. The straight is much longer and track has a better layout as well. However, if i am not mistaken, serpent cars usualy have relatively lower 2nd gear ratio because they are designed for the big european tracks. My mugen maxed out about 3/5th into the straight. I believe that you, with a much better engine than my X12, and the serpent, should be more than fine.

About the batteries, a guy is selling them on ebay (Sanyo 800 ones) for quite cheap. You can look into that.

B 03-18-2004 11:56 PM

o yeah, by the way, with weather permitting, they will be running this saturday. I wont be because I dont have a car at the moment.

If you are interested, you can drop by and take a look at the layout so you will have an idea of how it is like compared to Apollo.

I certainly will go and help out set up the track.
