well, i straightened the wobble on the front one way by lightly pushing the pulley over. That didn't work on the rear so I guess I'll have to to pull the rear diff out.

Finally I got it all together :)
Went to the track to run in the engine some and crashed at speed in the second lap... front right end gone ( the aluminum pivotballs are very fragile). LHS's don't stock 710 parts yet so I ordered a second kit as spares. I think it's cost effective on the long run I love this car!! |
Nice paint scheme! Looks killer. When you assembled your diffs, did they wobble at all?

Hey Crashed_1, we have another brother-in-arms - nice powerbook! http://212.227.253.81/forum/images/graemlins/bow.gif |
Does anyone run 26mm rear tires on the 710 or majority of the racers are using 30mm...? Is it possible to run 26mm in the rear...?

Originally posted by InitialD Yes of course. Not blocks made by Hudy but a decent droop gauge and droop measured at the bottom of the knuckle. No worries and no Jedi tricks to the numbers ! :D Is that Mazda of your's ready yet? :D |

The masking tape I used is "pactra" 1/4" to divide the colors and than regular one to fill out the big areas. It's a very easy tape to work with!
Thanks for the good comments on the graphics! :D It's nothing special but been a rookie at paint jobs I wanted to to play it safe and have a simple yet racy look. |
Updated my website to include my 710 and courtesy of markp27 there is a link to his 710 FAQ pages, I'll try and keep the link up to date for easier reference.

I've always used Locktite on my Centax 1, and never really ran without it, so I don't even know if it's necessary. Has anyone had any issues with pinions coming loose? Thanks. I only use on the grub screws on the aluminum pulley adapter. I only use on the grub screws on the aluminum pulley adapter. I don't use loctite on my Centax pinions and on my engine screws as well as the wheel nuts. I just tighten them up very tightly. |
