Hey Mark, does the FAQ include the 710 internal drive ratio somewhere?
No real need to post Rene's confirmation of the ratio, as D knows everything anyway but here it is:

2. The aluminium shocks, what would I need to get for the shocks that would give me full, race ready aluminium shocks?
D have answered you on the above.

3. Does anyone know where I would be able to get a relatively old second hand S705 with engine and possibly electronics (not compulsary) But the machine must be running and in full working order. Basically, I want to build the S710 to Race, and a S705 to play. I will need to have it shipped to South Africa.
I do have a 705 that I am willing to part with for a fellow snake nut.

PM me if you are interested.

It still snows in Korea ! You should not look too east and you'll get sun (and perhaps a "little" bit of scattered showers) 24/7/365.

Actually the weather is great today - bloody cold (-5 Deg C) but very dry. If it remains so, then I could risk going to the track on Sat Just wish there was a webcam installed there, then I could see if the snow is still on the track

Cheers, Mark.
I braved the cold yesterday because I just couldn't wait. It was 4 DegC but it was sunny when I got to the track. Had to wear gloves in the end. I did not pull out my 710, just the 705 to see what its like on my new "home" track.

I really like your idea of the webcam. I found a couple of websites that had webcams pointing at tracks but have lost their links.

BaxterC, this is the 705 that I mentioned above. Of course, it'll be cleaned before taking its flight to Sth Africa ..

Oh, the glove wasn't just for show. It was windy and without the gloves, your fingers stopped working after 2 minutes!

The engine ran a cool 75 DegC throughout whereas back at TT the same tune settings it was doing 115 DegC!
