Cheers, Mark.
No they have been for rigidity but you pay the price in weight...and the 710 is very rigid and doesn't need alu parts.

Opps! I was talking C We've only had down to -7 C overnight at the moment, but we'll be getting some nice -15 C daytime temps towards the end of December.

Not much time left to practice I'm hoping to take part in a few indoor electric races through the winter, just having some difficulty finding some at the moment in my local area

Paolo I was going to come down this year again but a single car event and a solid week seriously crimps the vacation schedule. Think I'm going to opt to go to the Biggie this year as I am presuming the sedan nats and or the on road nats will be in my backyard again. Thats pretty much going to kill the vacation time.

MichaelS, I understand the theoretical advantage of running the new gear ratios, How do you think the stock gears would work at the Ft Myers track, considering last year when everyone running the 705 jumped to the 22/47 and 17 side pulleys.. Just curious on what to expect.

Very nice piece of kit. Still can't tell if Spring Steel is being used or not. One thing I was not clear on: does the car come with a front diff or one way? Will both be included, or will the diff be an option? Is the option for the solid axle included in the kit, or purchased seperately?

And on the .08 pitch gears. Having only used standard gearing, I know the general rule of thumb is to have the sum of the pinion and spur for both 1st and 2nd to match for the mesh to be correct. But it looks like the pinion has a 5 tooth spread out the box and the spurs around 7. How does that work?
