REAR FLUID DIFF FOR THE 710

Does anyone know where to get the rear fluid diff for the 710 in the US? Also I heard they have a upgraded 710. Anyone have any pics besides the one they have on MYTSN.

Do you mean the diff oil or the gear diff??

You can get the gear diff from Serpent USA, or have your LHS get it from there.

I believe the upgraded 710 just includes the common upgrades that everybody already uses... no new parts.

I just got the rear gear diff. but where do I apply the silicone diff oil

undo the 4 screws that hold the 2 halves together, split it open & fill away. 20000 wt x-ray diff oil works nicely on a med traction surface :)

Bearings

What do you guys do to recondition your 710 bearings for the upcoming season. I have my car stripped down right now and am wondering what i should do with the bearings? I know some people take the seals off and clean them out and others just soak them in brake cleaner. Any suggestions? I also noticed some of the ball joints are binding now whats the best way to free those up?

With the national races starting again in less than a month, mine is in pieces too. I'll just do the usual with the bearings, seals off, blast with degreaser and then re-oil and re-seal. The rest like the ball joints just need cleaning and a bit of polishing and they're good again.

I remove all the bearings from the car, then remove the seals. Soak the bearings in Shellite then place on a paper towel to dry. Then replace one seal in each bearing & reoil using inox or Serpent bearing oil. Replace other seal & reinstall into car.

For binding pivot points, polish the metal parts & reinstall. Make sure the caps arent to tight to cause binding.
