hi,
i am having some shock towers made for the 710. they will be made of carbon fibre and 4 mm thick. if i buy 100 of them, i can get them for roughly $500 to $550. i am looking for 10 people who would like to go in on this. it would be roughly $50-55 for each person. we would split all the shock towers evenly, 10 each. i have three people who are in so far--- francis lee, omar (twister tires), and robert (all from south florida). please email me to [email protected] if interested.
francis, i am having trouble finding others to go in on the deal. do you know of anyone else. i talked to the person who makes them today and he said he could probably let us slide with doing 70 of them. let me know.

Mark, it was great visiting and racing with you. I would say that my experience with the 3Racing upper plate is very different from yours. I use it with the S705 LOLA bumper (#808121) for practice, where the rules don't count, and with the (#802209) for ROAR racing. The latter is very strong and resists deformation well. I have yet to break the 3Racing carbon fiber plate, and I think you will agree that I do a more stringent stress analysis of body parts than you!

I tend to agree with you also on this, Jack... If it's anything, which CF are you using? The normal black CF or the SSG one? I know Mark uses the black normal CF while I'm still using my SSG one.

That's probably the explaination; I'm using the "SE710-004 SSG Graphite Upper Bumper Plate For Serpent 710".

 Hi Jack - I think I must have had a localised high stress test on that carbon fiber plate

It was great meeting up with you - the people of RCTECH really made the Winternats even more special for me - to meet all those great people.
I saw a couple of cars with the LOLA bumper - D also mentioned using this.....is it possible to cut it down a little to conform with the roar rules?

Cheers, Mark.

Swoosh! Order placed :D
Maybe you only do more strigent stress analysis, as you think you're still flying that fighter jet of yours ;)
