But still if it was me and the bearings and crankshaft are already no good, I would still replace the piston sleeve and the necessary parts. With all of it changed, it is still half cheaper than going the new engine route... At the end of the day, it's your call.

how much can we get for the new Max p/s in M'sia? hobbyshop @myplace dont keep it...as u know...top or OS engines only

can u get it for me...i TT the RM

I don't think anybody sells NovaMax piston sleeve here... If they do, they cost a bomb ! Just get a Novarossi NS based piston sleeve and put it in the NovaMax and you should be fine. Don't get NSR type because the piston sleeve wears out faster...

jfc_tech 01-23-2005 10:31 PM

ohhhh  i tot i just stick to Nova Max P/S :(

the IDM quite expensive...more than Max:mad:

I think pricewise, they are about the same with the recent Euro exchange...

jfc_tech 01-23-2005 10:38 PM

i still remember my friend bought his new TOP engine at around +-RM800 and now that same engine reached +-RM1000
damn exchange.

oh well...i have to buy new engine anyway...i do like Nova max type...served me well. never got me into problem. so i hope my next engine will be the same character again. im not a tuner...always depends on others...
pls suggest me a good reliable engine to go along with the Seven ten.

Why not get JP-FX engine? Their ceramic bearings are good and they last pretty long.

But of all engines, I really like the Novarossi RRL5 engine.

 :sneaky: If that's the same guy you're referring to, then that's because something is wrong with the engine tuning. Not because of anything else. My opinion anyways...

It's actually a plain engine by Novarossi. Not modded or anything but the bottom end is fantastic because it is a long stroke engine compared to the NS/NSR short stroke.

Yes, just ask them to order an RR12L5 engine. Should be around the same price range as a normal NS/NSR engine.
