Take it step by step. Look at Julius' article at mytsn and digest it.

The set screw / grub screw is suppose to lock the setting in place after you tighten the other screw on the opposite site to ensure that the diff does not slip.

LOL, you're right! This thread/forum has been a little quiet since VRC was released. Cars? Babes? No way ... we're all VRC nuts now. At least those who are facing winter weather anyway.

Belts? Errrr ... last time I ordered them I got the standard set instead. Any chance for a swap?

Default Hi

Hi All

Its been a while.

Has anyone ran the new mega yet? I am told mushroom will have them in next week...

Also anyone tried or have the new belts? I have some coming in the next 2 days.

Mark...I think I told you that I had a problem with the ceramic thrust bearing going, but it was not the bearing it was the clutch (my Fault) Will be trying one this week.

D...I have some ceramic balls for the diff and I noticed you run them, was there a problem with the original balls? I have found them to be excellent(original) and I know of a few people that have not liked them(ceremaic balls). 1 guy did lube them, and 2 didnt.

Ummm, I've not used the ceramic balls in my diffs. Still the same original ones (balls + plates) for 1 year of running.

Very happy with the originals. It is still as smooth as when I first bought the car. It'll last when you lube it correct. No reason for me to change to the ceramics for this one.

Mr.Chan, this question might sound silly for you
Do they came with standard size of manifold gasket and air filter ?

The package did come with Carb + manifold gasket ...but no air filter ...

But I got to put in the carb in place by myself .. the carb is in another plastic pack .. May be just to save some few $$ for this ...

I got the pipe also ..... The pipe did look similar to 9886 pipe but stinger is bigger about 1mm

Overall the engine look nice .......I actully want to use this engine for Serpent nitro If I'm able to attend ...
