Do these wheels fit the 966? They're Xceed OS2 types. Or does the Serpent rims only fit??

That is not always the case.

IMHO, electric racers tend to be smoother on throttle.

you are absolutely correct on throttle control. and I think the reason is the springs that are in the throttle linkages. Off throttle is always laggy. The gas cars are a constantly changing environment unlike the electric cars (well mostly) you have the parts wearing (clutch, tires) then you area ffected by temperature humidty etc. SO it is easier (not easy by it self just easier than gas cars) to be smooth with electric cars.

What I did is I use the metal collar directly for on throttle and I use short fuel tubing for off throttle. I will eventually go for a no fule hose or spring setup on the throttle as well or I may try and adapt a servo saver for throttle.

By the way, by no means I mean the nova engines are bad because of the 359's conrod problem. thanks for stating that the problem is concerns only the 359 :) I think Nova's are great engines but I think for my experience level they are out of reach for me. So it is not the engine, it is me where the problem lies :p

I am happy that I am running gas cars as well now as I learned new things and its teaching me to constantly adapt to change.

The nova R1 is a very good engine and Robert Poage @ Ashford Hobbies is one of the best and most reliable people in this hobby. I have been doing business with him for years.

I don't think so the current car is excellent & no changes are needed
