Default I just got a kyosho lambo fwt05/gxr.15 for christmas

I'm in socal. my roomie picked up a spider mkII. His is 2 wheel drive, we ordered the spur gear as he only hat one speed @ this point. only has 2 wheel set up to the rear, he's looking to set up 4 whl, 2 spd tranny and wants to up to an os engine. I'm waiting for my chasis from eroupe, as mine is bent, and my rod blew off the crankshaft. just looking around to see other's veiws on these cars, any info on setup would be greatly appreciated. we are just getting into the Hobbie, and are looking for input. If any one is out there who knows about these cars, I would love to hear from you, as we are just trying to make them reliable fun toys, maybe go to the kyosho meet in reseda just to look around, I understand they had mini coopers there this last summer. Any way back 2 the topic @ hand. As I was saying, I have been looking for local parts, and the hobby places near my home are virtually no help.
Am looking for help if any one ran these cars knows how to keep them reliable, what to look for as far as signs of breakdown, etc.
Thx for ur time guys
