Just wanted to make the point that Mugen is still supporting the car by racing it, finding new setups to share with the end user....

I think the MTX4r also won the Italian nationals this year... I know sedan racing is very active in europe.. IMO the car is more than capable, the only difference with new cars are the owners state of mind... They try set ups they haven't tried before and do so much testing in the first week to beat their time from their prev car.....lol

I've tried some setup tips given to me this week and I can tell you I've gained a lot from my current time.. It feels like a whole new car to me....:nod:

I've got alot different ideas I want to try the only problem is It's 19 degrees with about a foot of snow on the ground.

I've always tuned my chassis for an abundant amont of rear traction. Now I've come the point where the added rear traction has caused the car not to rotate. I need to raise the rear roll center to help the car to rotate better. So I have a bout 4 setups I want to try next season.

Race you later....Pass you soon...

I can tell you this much, It didn't sound right when I was told to try it.....:) but it transformed the MTX4-r into another level IMO

shokyo 01-11-2010 04:21 PM

1/8 MRX4 ---> MRX4R ---> MRX4x

1/10 MTX4 ---? MTX4R ---> maybe MTX4X... :D :D :D

What I heard is that there will not be a new kit. There is going to be an upgrade to the current car with different materials in plastics.

Making them stiffer for a better performance car.

The Toy Show starts next month I think....
Wonder if we'll see something:confused:

I love this over year old thread!

If you aren't fast with the 4 you won't be any faster with the 5 as everyone else will be faster as well lol

thats a good thing. We dont need a new car. The 4r is still plenty fast. They Just need to address a few small issues. Mainly to make the car not strip gears so much
