That's the Kawahara conversion kit I think. Guaranteed to cut your lap time by 0.01 second per lap but cost more than the car itself. But what's money when you are looking for that last 0.01 second?

B or people here, I am interested at FW05R because the layout looks the same to my MT2. Do you think I can convert my MT2 into a tourer?

Are you serious about the price? Don't they just sell the crown gears only?

Kawahara link here:

I don't know the price exactly but their front conversion kit along is about $100. I can only imagine how much with the full conversion will be. I only paid $240 for my FW-05R special foam tire kit ($320 including shipping and tax/credit card charges).

Default Mugen Pinions...

Hi,

Is the Mugen 0.8M 20T pinion the same as Kyosho 0.8M 20T pinion for FW-05R? Has anyone tried this??

Cheers,

I'll be running a full Kawahara as soon as it's available. The quality of their products is second to none, you should try the wheel nuts, awesome.

Just complete assemble the kit. Now start to go through the detail fine tuning for coming race.
1) By following the manual the front toe is almost 5°. Any cheap suggestion on how to reduce that? I plan to put washer in the middle of the ball end. .. may be..
2) The shock end mounting change to screw with button cap screw. Experience with the stock ball end which pop off during racing.
3) Greasing, loctite

Anything else guys?

On 1, I'll just open up the rods. No need to put washer in the middle. Adjustable tie rods are inexpensive and good investment though.

number 2) tried this and not good on crashes 'n bigger collisions (w/ other car),.... too tight will break your shock tower instead,.... just make sure you use new ball ends on every race,... it won't pop off that often,... if it does, it's better than changing a shock tower in a middle of the race, right?! for better snug fit on the balls (no sick intentions here, hehe) try using titanium ball-ends
