Default weird track width

hey team

i managed to borrow a mates hudy setup board to check all the settings on my fw-05r foam tyre hop up edition.

what i noticed was that the rear track width from outside tyre edge to tyre edge was only 185mm ??
The front track width was 198mm

This is quite weird as i built the car exactly as it says in the manual using vernier calippers to get the exact measurements.

I doubt this is normal as the car should be a pure 200mm wide chassis

What i have done now is put on rrr front hubs and adjusted the front track to 195mm, in the rear i adjusted it to be 200mm but the dog bones were really loose and falling out, so i put in rrr rear dogbones and this has solve dthat problem.

thanks
john

the 1 and 2 degree front RRR wheel hub adds caster. i have them but have not tried them yet as the car is running so good as it is.
hey jeff and Marcos.J, thanks for the input. i just ordered the pipe today.

Guys, I just bought the Kyosho rear spring set. It just says Silver = Hard, Gold = Medium and Bronze =soft The reading above for front springs is silver = 617g/mm. Does this mean that the lower the g/mm the harder the springs?

In simple terms, if there is a weight of 617 grams sitting on the spring, it will be compressed by 1mm (if I am not mistaken). Looking at the figures, Silver spring is the softest (for the front).

I bit the bullet today and bought the shimo main chassis for my car, after seeing how the stock one I had was warped nicely.

I also bought the five star lightened 2nd speed shoe holder. that and the hardened al. center shaft will remove a ton of rotational mass from that area I think.

Also ordered 2 sets of a arms for the front/back and 2 sets of hubs for the front and back so in the season I dont need to place HK orders for replacement parts hehe.
