If you are running at Revelation, you have a totallly opposite opinion. What body are you running? The car handled good with the stock tires but when I switched them out it developed a really bad push. I went to diff lock in the rear and a one-way in the front. The new track layout is a lot easier on this car. The mugens won't stomp on you on the straight as bad as before with the summer track layout. I just got the 39tooth ring gears from hong kong yesterday and I'm dying to try the car out now.

Jeff i ran at Rev. with the stock foam tires it had way to much stearing. was a little hard to control. so i went to 42 front and 40 rear. still lots of tracking but much better. also i dont know when but they did spray the track with VHT not long ago. I am running a old MT12 I had laying around. But i want to buy a new engine. Just dont know what one to buy.

You can only adjust the rear roll centre of the 05, the front roll centre are not adjustable.

Ran the car today and it was hooked up! The combo of the Alfa body and the 37's all around made the car so much better. Definitely quicker than the Mugen in the infield. Got it to handle like the Evolution but this corners way flater. Some little adjustments and this car will be perfect.

Oh yeah I did run the 39tooth ring gears today. It was a better on the straight. My motor is going though. I still have to break in my MT-12. I should have no problems getting this car to run in the low 17's and high 16 second laptimes.

Hey Robert, I don't have the 39 ring gear but you can see the part listed on page 34 of the manual (part number VS034). You can also order it directly from Tower Hobbies here.

How do you have your front set up? If you built according to the kit you will have about 2 degree toe out in front. That seems a little too much...

I am running 1.5 degrees of toe out. I think that part of the manual is wrong. This car needs toe-out for on power steering.

I have been looking everywhere for the 39 tooth diff gears. Thanks for the post. Are you running a 27 tooth second gear w/ the 39's. If so how was your car on the straight? Just got the 27 haven't tried it wondering if I should wait for the 39'S. Also have a 1 way that I haven't tried yet. Much testing to do, but the car kicked ass before our series was shut down for winter.

The 27tooth pinion is what I have been looking for along with the 45t 2nd gear spur. I got the ring gears from Hong Kong. With the 39t ring gears I don't get nearly as embarrased down the straight. Everyone is running modified and 30%. Whatever I gain through the infield I lose on the backstraight. I'll give them something when I get a new engine. My NS is DEAD.

Love the Car... There's way too much toe out according to the origional setup sheet. I have only put it on the track 5 odd times, but found .5 deg toe out on the front, 1 deg on the back is nice. I also think it needs harder rear diff oil, looking at going to 50k.

Are you by chance running at revelation in Ontario, Ca.? Thats where I first experienced our cars undergearing. It sounds like you have the right answer, will order my 39's.

Did you adjust the front toe by lengthening the steering rods or did you screw in the pillow ball ends? Lengthing the steering rod might weaken the rods but screwing the pillow ball ends reduce the front track width...
