Same motor, same clutch out of the MTX3 that did so well this past year, but it keeps running 30 seconds short of the 5 minute mark in the R40?

try running a bigger fuel filter also.....my car runs 5 minutes easy...even on bigger tracks......remember,theres alot of factors in fuel economy.....everything from weight of the car,to gearing........even how you drive each car differently....

You can make this car brake ultra hard if you need to. You need a decent brake servo tho.

Cool thanks for that

I am using the Futaba 9550 for both steering an brakes... Only thing i can think of it is the graphite brake disc causing the problems?

and speaking of linkage.....now that I think about it,you know when I got the best brakes?.....when I put that 3 racing metal brake arm on.........

Oh you have the graphite disk on yours?? I never used it but harry seems to think it is junk and I have no reason to believe otherwise. Whack the metal one back in.

Default stupid ?

OK, I dont want to sound like the ultimate noob but I have a question. I bought my car used and I didnt get a manual/tools with it yet(getting them next time I go to the lhs). My question is how do I measure toe in/out, caster etc. Is there an included tool or what?
Thanks Guys

NItroRacer - Probably the most popular tool is th Hudy or Integy set-up stations. If you are on a budget, there are some crude methods.

BuddyBear - are you running a front one-way? If so, you are giving up tons of break-action.

Good luck!

Default New R40 with Novarossi Engine???

I heard rumors that HPI is putting out a new R40 with a pretty decent Novarossi motor. Is this true? I also heard the street price will be pretty good too. If anyone has info, please let us know.

Thanks.

Default Breaking Problems!!!

You guys: I just installed the one way diff case in the front. It works great on corners, but on the breaking now my cars spins out. I tried releasing the break a little so that it doesn't spin and it worked, but is there a way to improve the braking action with the one way like gluing it or something so that the front tires break as well???

Nope. Thats what ya get with a one way diff. Only the rear will break and not the front. Can't do nothing about it, but go back to the stock 4gear diff.

Maybe I can put silly putty on the stock one, or glue the inside to see if it works as a one way and to break with all 4's.
